WOW! A whole week later

I can't BELIEVE I have not yet posted about the fantastic white water rafting trip I took with Jacob and his brother Eric and a bunch of people Eric knows. It was amazeing.

We started out last friday night to this place near Ohiopyle called Tall Oak Campground. It's private so there was much alcohol. I actually brought all the fixings for a Martinis including the shaker and olives. That was hilarious. Campfire Jenga was played which is just...well, it's not a good idea to do when you're in a group of freakin' pyromaniacs.

Rafting the next day was awesome. We covered the seven mile (ish ) bit of the Yaugh that passes through Ohiopyle and probably hit about 6 rapids between class three and five. I was in Erics boat with Jacob and we got through all of them just fine due to their experiance. One of the other rafts capsized at one point though and there were several tense minutes waiting at the bottom of the rapids area for everyone to be ok or not....Everyone did end up being ok by the way, just cold and shaken. The rest of the trip was exhilarating and went off without capsizing.

On the way back to the campsite, Eric's Jeep sort of broke down, but one of his friends fixed it in a very Macgyver-ish fashion, so that was ok too.

Has anyone ever noticed that food just tastes better when you're camping? 'Cause it really really does.

Anyway, anyone interested in seeing some really awesome pics can go here: http://picasaweb.google.com/christina.keffer/FantasticRafting

The pictures actually turned out GREAT.

Thanks Jake and Eric for an awesome time!
